The powerful benefits of smiling

the great many benefits of smiling

Smiling can be challenging at times.  In this article, we’ll share with you the benefits of smiling and how smiling can bring about more joy, happiness, love, inner peace and fulfillment in your life.

How good does it feel to smile?

Have you ever noticed how good it feels to smile?  I’m not talking about pretending to smile or forcing yourself to smile.  I’m talking about allowing yourself to let go of the thoughts in your mind, allowing your emotions to flow through you effortlessly, feeling what you’re feeling, and simply smiling.

Smiling for no other reason but to smile because it feels good.  Smiling naturally because you’ve got the weight of the world lifted off of your shoulders.  Smiling because you are fulfilled, present, and alive.  Smiling because you feel safe and at peace.  Smiling because it’s one of the greatest things to do.

Sometimes, smiling can feel like the hardest thing to do

Smiling can be the easiest and the hardest thing to do.  You may have felt this inner conflict before.  Maybe you lost someone you love, maybe you’ve had health challenges, maybe you’ve faced difficult situations, maybe someone was unkind… In those moments, it might be difficult to smile.

But what if you chose in those moments to still let go of the pain and smile.  Smile through the pain with the deep inner knowing that this too shall pass.  Smiling because you know that no matter what you are ok. Smiling because you realize that your thought projections and fears aren’t helping.

First, you may just smile with relief because you feel lighter without your negative thoughts, feelings, emotions, and fears.  And as you do, you feel better already.  Then, as you connect to the feelings that smiling brings about, you’re no longer smiling with relief, you’re smiling with happiness and joy.  Following the feelings that smiling brings about, you begin to smile some more.  More good feelings come as you continue to smile.  And as you continue to smile, your whole being becomes a great big smile.

Smiling opens your heart and creates positive momentum

The simple act of smiling is a powerful agent of positive transformation.  It’s beneficial to your entire being.  Smiling is healthy for you mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically too.

Smiling opens your heart.  I’m not only talking about your spiritual heart here and the connection that you feel to Spirit when you smile.  I’m talking about the scientifically proven physiological effects of smiling.  Smiling has positive effects on your physical heart, your hormones, and the other organs and systems within your body.  People who smile tend to live happier and longer lives.

Smiling has the capacity to enhance your mood, increase your creativity, and shift your entire way of looking at yourself and the world.  When you smile, and you go into the feelings, you bring up happy memories and attract to you many more things to smile about.  From your inner state of being, you define the quality of your experiences and you create the world around you.

Smiling enhances the quality of your consciousness

When you smile in this way, your entire perspective changes and you experience a shift in consciousness.  A shift in consciousness that allows you to experience life in a completely different way.  When you smile, your entire being is connecting to feelings of happiness, joy, love, inner peace, and a deep sense of connection and fulfillment.  When you smile, you could say that you become one with God.

When you smile, you’re not worried about anything.  You’re not thinking about the past or fearing the future.  You are… smiling.  You’re not trying to control, and in that moment, you’re no longer identified with your anger, sadness, resentment, or pain, or feelings of not being safe.  You are… smiling.

When you smile, you bring about feelings of safety, inner peace, and contentment within yourself for no reason.  These feelings of safety, inner peace, and contentment create ripples within yourself and in all the people you happen to meet.  They create rippled throughout the entire universe.

Smiling is an act of faith with many ripple effects

When you smile, you inspire others to smile too.  Your smile brings hope, caring, love, inner peace, and joy to others, even strangers that you smile to.  When you smile you bring peace into your world and the world as a whole, one smile at a time.

Smiling is an act of faith.  It’s a declaration to the universe that we feel ok, that we are ok, and that we know deep inside that we will be ok no matter what.

If we all take more time to smile, focusing on the positive feelings and feelings in our lives, feeling grateful for all the goodness of life, we will feel more relaxation, joy, happiness, love, inner peace, connection, fulfillment, and alignment with God.  If we all take more time to smile, we will experience peace within ourselves and peace in the world.
