  1. As a child, what did you find yourself most frequently stuck in – Victim, Perpetrator, or Rescuer?
  2. How about your parents and siblings, what roles did you see them play most frequently?
  3. Were you aware that you were playing any of these roles, or was it unconscious?
  4. Were other people involved in playing ‘their’ roles aware of it, or not?
  5. Did you feel that you needed to play any one of these roles to feel/ remain safe?
  6. Do you think that anybody needs to play any one of these roles to feel/ remain safe?
  7. What were the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that preceded you taking on any one of these roles?
  8. How about now?  What is your default role?
  9. Do you play the same role at work?  With your friends?  With your partner?  With your family?  With strangers?
  10. What are the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that precede you taking on any of the 3 roles – Victim, Perpetrator, or Rescuer?
  11. How often do you find yourself taking on any of these 3 roles?
  12. Describe 3 circumstances where you find yourself taking on the victim role.
  13. Do the same for the perpetrator and rescuer roles.
  14. What do you see in common in all 3 circumstances for each role?
  15. What do you see in common in all of these situations, no matter what role you are playing?
